That's where this story was supposed to end at first. Conservatives of the society were unhappy and agitated about this illegimate love affair. Sarat Chandra later added another ten chapters to the story and all of which were included in the Bharatbarsha in [B] 1323 Poush issue - obviously, obliging countless readers who could not wait. Published as a book by GCS on 15th Jan 1916. Sisir Bhaduri's sound film on Pally Samaj was released on 1st July 1932.
