In book form its first edition was published by GCS on 20th March 1920 (Falgoon, [B] 1326). Grihadaha was translated to Gujarati in 1926 by Ratneshwar Vakil and to hindi by Narayan Chandra Chatterjee in 1932. Pamathesh Barua's film on Grihadaha was released on 9th October, 1936. The Hindi version of the film by the same director called Manjil was also released that year.
