Kapakundala A romantic love story, set against a gruesome tantrik background in the coastline of the Kanthi region, where the author was stationed during Feb -Nov in 1860 in connection with his civil service position, Kapalkundala was published in 1866. The potetic lucidity of its language and its powerful plot were well received by readers and critics alike. Kapalkundala was translated to English (more than once), Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telegu and German.
